SLJ Awards A Star To MURDER ON THE BALTIMORE EXPRESS by Suzanne Jurmain!

Longtime McIntosh & Otis client Suzanne Jurmain will publish a new middle grade nonfiction, MURDER ON THE BALTIMORE EXPRESS, on 4/6/21 with Little Bee Books. Ahead of its release, the book has been awarded a starred review by School Library Journal!

MURDER ON THE BALTIMORE EXPRESS tells middle grade readers the story of an assassination attempt that nearly kept Abraham Lincoln from becoming president. A series of spy missions unfold, saving Lincoln just in the nick of time! SLJ enjoyed the book’s format, writing, “The text uses dialogue (documented in the appendix) to create a nonfiction title that reads like an appealing work of historical fiction. Pictures from the events and places described are included to further enhance the story.”
