Where Literary Legends Are Born

Two McIntosh & Otis Titles Shortlisted For The Barnes & Noble Children’s And YA Book Awards!

In the words of bookseller giant Barnes & Noble, the company’s Children’s and YA Book Awards “spotlight and celebrate outstanding new and emerging talent in children’s publishing across three categories: Picture Books, Young Readers and YA.” The Awards are now in their second year, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that two McIntosh & Otis titles have been named to the 2022 shortlist: YA horror debut WHAT WE HARVEST by Ann Fraistat, and picture book CLOVIS KEEPS HIS COOL by Katelyn Aronson!

WHAT WE HARVEST by Ann Fraistat, which released just last week from Random House/Delacorte, is a stunning debut YA horror tinged with magic. Perfect for fans of WILDER GIRLS, this page turner is about small-town secrets and atoning for ancestral mistakes. This incredible title is an ABA Indies Introduce pick!

CLOVIS KEEPS HIS COOL by Katelyn Aronson is a thoughtful picture book that came out last year with Page Street Kids to numerous accolades, about a bull named Clovis. Clovis, gorgeously drawn by Eve Farb, used to struggle with his temper, but ever since he took over his late grandmother’s china shop, he’s been learning to manage it. It has also been written up in the Wall Street Journal and honored by School Library Journal!

Congratulations, Ann and Katelyn! Visit these stellar authors on their websites and social media accounts.
